Today Disney+ ordered its next animated series from Lucasfilm, Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Fresh off of the critically-acclaimed series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the Disney+ original series will premiere on the streaming service in 2021.

Nickelodeon’s The Casagrandes and Netflix’s Ask the StoryBots have just received surprise 2020 Daytime Emmy Awards nominations heading into the July 26th virtual ceremony honoring animation and family programming. They join the rest of this year’s nominees, which were announced on May 21st.
