It’s an enormous undertaking for the artists at Studio Kai, as one can see from the amount of detail on the screen.  Who is responsible for all the animated mayhem?  How did the project get started, and what can we learn from the people who made it?

The Apothecary Diaries began in 2011 as a web novel by Hyūganatsu. Then TOHO Animation and OLM produced an anime series, with Season One airing from October 2023 to March 2024, followed by Season Two from January to July 2025, 24 episodes per season.  The series currently streams on Crunchyroll, with a third season set to begin this fall.

TOHO Animation hosted a panel featuring creatives from animation studio Madhouse on Saturday, July 4, at the JW Marriott. Fans packed the Platinum Ballroom, with a seating capacity of 2,100. Alas, photography was prohibited of the presentation.
