Yuri Katsuki is a professional figure skater on his way to getting gold. Yuri!!! On Ice follows the titular protagonist as he works under his idol and now Victor Nikiforov, a world champion figure skater. The 2016 anime is praised for its depictions of how beautiful ice skating can be, using more key animators than any other anime coming out at the time. This dedication to artistic animation helped win the title several accolades, including three from the Tokyo Anime Award Festival and seven from the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Synopsis

Yuri Katsuki nearly gave up on his dream of winning big as a professional figure skater after his devastating loss at the Grand Prix Final, until his idol Victor Nikiforov offered to take him under his wing as his coach. With his hope restored, Yuri gets back on the ice to go down the path to victory once again, now with Viktor by his side.
