Global anime titan Crunchyroll took New York Comic Con by storm on Thursday with a “Crunchyroll Showcase” panel highlighting current and upcoming features and series. I attended the lively presentation, hosted by Tim Lyu and Lauren Moore, alongside hundreds of fans who were cheering and applauding throughout.

Through its partnership with Sony Pictures, Crunchyroll distributed “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” in theaters last fall, and it grossed nearly $800 million worldwide. Crunchyroll is continuing to invest in the theatrical experience with monthly Crunchyroll Anime Nights. And new movie “Witch on the Holy Night” will open January 29th.

A clip was unveiled for the eight-episode action series “Sekiro: No Defeat”, debuting in January. NYCC exclusive character art was revealed for “Kagurabachi”. Singer LISA sent-in a video message — she performs the theme song for “Magical Buffs”. And coming in April is the rom-com “Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret”, about a high school student who tutors his classmate, who just happens to be a famous idol… and maybe his dream soulmate.

Other Crunchyroll highlights included first looks and previews of “Ghost of Tsushima Legends”, “Here U Are”, “EAT-MAN”, “Berserk of Gluttony Season 2” and “The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All”. Crunchyroll also emphasized its Manga division, which has successfully grown over the past year. “Yuri!!! on ICE” is in theaters for its 10th Anniversary on October 19th. Crunchyroll also had panels throughout the weekend for “The Apothecary Diaries”, “Black Clover Season 2” and “Firefly Wedding”.

This concludes Animation Scoop’s New York Comic Con 2026 coverage. It was my seventh time at NYCC (which celebrates its 20th Anniversary), and I once again had a great experience.
