Announced during the Anime Expo 2026, AnimEigo is set to bring in a new lineup of upcoming anime titles to be available in Blu-ray DVD home media, featuring Sakon The Ventriloquist, Drucker in the Dugout, House of Five Leaves, Baby & I, and additionally a 4K restoration for AD Police Files. An update was also announced for Vampire Princess Miyu, that each order for the horror anime OVA would additionally include blank Blu-ray case inserts. Of the latest additions to AnimEigo’s lineup, House of Five Leaves and Baby & I are confirmed to drop early 2027.

Sakon the Ventriloquist follows an Edo-era puppeteer with an enchanted puppet that comes to life, using their combined deductive reasoning to solve murders. Sakon’s quiet personality matches with his puppet Ukon’s chatty, clever wit to be underestimated by their suspects as they work together over 26 episodes. The manga version was written by Sharakumaro and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, who would go on to illustrate for the manga of Death Note as well. 

Drucker in the Dugout, also called Moshidora, features 10 episodes of an impromptu leadership change in a high school baseball team, where Minami, a young girl who hates baseball, takes on the task of uniting the team and taking on the nationals. With no experience leading, Minami looks to Peter Drucker’s Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices and uses the guide within to manage the team as if it were a business. The original novel in 2009 was written by Natsumi Iwasaki, and would go on to earn a manga, anime, and live-action adaptation.

A shorter, 3 episode OVA, AD Police Files acts as a prequel to Bubblegum Crisis, set 5 years prior with a focus on inspector Leon McNichol and his early work in the AD Police. With the help of MediaOCD, the OVA has received a 4K restoration for its Blu-ray edition. As the OVA was never fully completed, it remains as lost media and a crucial piece of Bubblegum Crisis lore.

House of Five Leaves follows the wandering samurai Masanosuke, down on his luck and deemed incapable of work, but thankfully hired by a group of bandits known as the Five Leaves. At first Masanosuke was unaware of their intentions, but without other options for work, he finds himself intrigued by the group. A 12 episode series based on the manga by Natsume Ono, and directed by Tomomi Mochizuki, AnimEigo is set to release the series in early 2027.

Baby & Me covers 35 slice-of-life episodes revolving around Takuya Enoki and his younger brother Minoru, following the death of their mother. The role of parenting his younger sibling is passed on to Takuya, as is the stress and tiring nature of it. The original manga was created by Marimo Ragawa, then directed in the anime by Takahiro Omori, who would also direct for Durarara!! later on. The Blu-ray set for the series is set to debut in 2027 as well.
