The first US theatrical release for 2018 may well be the Chinese indie, Have A Nice Day. Strand Releasing will release animator Liu Jian’s neo-noir in New York (at the Village East Cinemas) on Friday January 26th, with LA right behind it on February 2nd at the Ahrya Fine Arts Cinema in Beverly Hills. The Nezha Bros. Pictures Company Limited and Le-joy Animation Studio production has just released its US trailer. Take a look:

Synopsis:
A hard rain is about to fall on a small town in Southern China. In a desperate attempt to find money to save his fiancée’s failed plastic surgery, Xiao Zhang, a humble driver, steals a bag containing 1 million Yuan from his boss. News of the robbery spreads fast within the town and, over the course of one night, everyone starts looking for Xiao Zhang and his money…
