AEF Animation Educators Forum 2026

ASIFA-Hollywood’s Animation Educator’s Forum (AEF) ‘Call for Submissions’ for the Sixth Annual 2026 Student Animation Showcase are now live and open through June 16, 2026. To facilitate the easy-to-follow submission process, please visit: https://animationeducatorsforum.org/student-animation-showcase.

The Showcase connects student filmmakers with a wide audience of fans, peers, educators, and industry professionals, offering a powerful platform for recognition, exposure, and opportunity. ASIFA-Hollywood sponsors and supports AEF and contributes funding to assist with its development, faculty grant funding and student scholarships.

            “We are seeking the best final student short films of the year—projects that demonstrate creativity, originality, and a bold vision for the future of animation.,” says Michael Bonitatis, chair, AEF Student Animation Showcase. “From emotional storytelling to groundbreaking visual design, we want to showcase the work that defines this new wave of talent.”

            Past  Showcase participates include: California Institute of the Arts, California State University Long Beach, California State University Northridge, ARIMAC, University of the West Indies, Cleveland Institute of Art, Concordia University, Depaul University, Lesley University, Monmouth University, North Carolina State University, PCA&D Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, Ringling College of Art + Design Robert Morris University, Savannah College of Art and Design, School of Communication and Arts – Sao Paulo University, School of Visual Arts, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, University of Lincoln, University of Pennsylvania, Vocational Training Development Institute, William Paterson University.

ASIFA-Hollywood is the world’s foremost professional organization dedicated to promoting the Art of Animation and celebrating the people who create it. Today, ASIFA-Hollywood, the largest chapter of the international organization ASIFA, supports a wide range of animation activities and preservation efforts through its membership.
