The infamous Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced their Golden Globe winners tonight – and included in the mix was the winner for Best Animated Feature. Laika’s Missing Link won the top honor. Producer Arianne Sutner and director Chris Butler accepted the award and spoke – genuinely shocked and thanking everyone at Laika. The Golden Globes were awarded in a ceremony from the Beverly Hilton.

Per our review back in April: “A triumph for Laika. Missing Link scores on its acting performances and groundbreaking advances in stop-motion animation.” Nominated for an Annie Award as well, Missing Link is Laika’s first Golden Globe winner and the first stop motion feature to win this award.
