Dreamworks has released two “first-look” images from their next short Marooned. The film is directed by Andy Erekson and produced by Jeff Hermann. Music by Amie Doherty. In addition to its World Premiere screening at the Annecy International Animation Festival (June 10th through 15th), it was announced today that Marooned has been accepted to screen at the Palm Spring Shorts International Film Festival in Palm Springs, CA (June 18-24).
About Marooned
In this stylized look of the not too distant future, Marooned tells the story of a cantankerous and selfish robot named C-0R13. Stranded on an abandoned lunar outpost, C-0R13 longs to return to Earth. With a partially built ship and his last power source, this determined robot will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. His character and his mission will be put to the test when he learns what it truly means to be selfless.
In addition, Trolls World Tour has been added to the Dreamworks line-up at Annecy. Director Walt Dohrn will present first looks of footage from the film. If you happen to be in southern France June 10th through 15th – do not miss the Dreamworks presentation.
