Animation Highlights at Comic Con @ Home

San Diego Comic-Con is going to look MUCH different this year. Every panel and special presentation from July 23-26 will be done virtually. They’re all online (and FREE to everyone) through the CC website and YouTube links. So what can animation fans look forward to from the comfort of their own homes? Here’s a rundown of the highlights of SDCC@HOME (all times PT):

Thursday July 23

10am – CBS All Access will present an extended look of the first episode of the new animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks (debuting August 6th), as part of an entire ST panel.

11am – Hulu’s Solar Opposites team will share a clip from the hit show’s upcoming second season.

12pm – Cartoon Network will unveil announcements and clips from Craig of the Creek, Victor and Valentino and Ben 10 vs. The Universe: The Movie.

12pm – Amy Poehler, Ty Burrell and the creatives behind FOX’s Duncanville will share favorite Season 1 moments and tease Season 2 (coming next year).

3pm – There will be a panel discussion and table read for the new HBO Max show Close Enough.

4pm – Actress Yvette Nicole Brown will moderate a Bugs Bunny 80th Birthday Extravaganza panel featuring Eric Bauza, Leonard Maltin and Animation Scoop’s own Jerry Beck!


Friday July 24

10am – Learn about the new Cartoon Network-produced shows hitting HBO Max soon, including Tig n’ Seek, The Fungies and Summer Camp Island.

11amThe Adventure Time: Distant Lands crew discusses the first recent special on HBO Max and previews the next one.

1pmYOLO: Crystal Fantasy premieres August 9th on Adult Swim. Find out all about it!

3pm – HBO Max’s adult animation panel is packed with the creators of Robot Chicken, Primal, Samurai Jack, Black Dynamite and more.

4pm – Get ready for the scoop on the new season of Bob’s Burgers (and maybe the long-awaited movie).

4pmCrossing Swords is another Hulu animated show that has just been renewed for a second season.

5pmArcher (on FXX) returns later this year for its 11th season.


Saturday July 25

10am – The dynamic duo of Maltin & Beck are back for a look at The History of Saturday Morning Cartoons!

11amThe Simpsons gang previews and celebrates Season 32.

12pm – Disney+ will reveal a sneak peek of the new Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (debuting August 28th).

12pm – It’s a conversation with the cast and crew of FOX’s Bless the Harts – all about Season 1 and this Fall’s second season.

1pmAmerican Dad! is hitting a major milestone this year, as TBS will soon air the show’s 300th Episode.

2pm – Seth MacFarlane’s other smash hit, Family Guy, has a presentation planned that will include a peek at Season 19.


Sunday July 26

10am – Netflix has a new adult animated series on the way called Hoops. Learn all about it before everyone else.

1pm – HBO Max’s Looney Tunes Cartoons team will debut a new short and share secrets behind the revival series.
